Accessories have always formed an integral part of one’s wardrobe. Out of all, sunglasses are an essential add-on to enhance your style statement. When done right, they can add a hint of suavity to any outfit but on the other hand they can even break the entire look if not picked up wisely. Thus one cannot afford to go wrong with it.

The wisest decision to avoid making any such mistakes is to choose a pair that complements your face type. Therefore people should invest in the right pair of eyewear that can highlight the facial features of the wearer with utmost grace. Where all styles suit the European face types, one always has to fiddle to fit into the most fashionable designs as per the Indian face types including shapes, sizes, nose width and eyebrows. Depending on different face cuts like round, oval, rectangular and others, one can select various types of sunglasses ranging from wayfarers to clubmasters. However the basic rule to be kept in mind while buying a pair of shades is that the shape of your sunglasses should be the opposite of the shape of your face.

For instance, people who have square face, i.e. strong jaw line, wide forehead and wide cheekbones should opt for rounded frames, such as aviators instead of angular designs with sharp lines. To soften these features, one should only go for shades with soft lines or rimless edges. It is often said that lucky are those who have oval face type as this is the most versatile face type out of all. They have the advantage to pull off any type of sunglasses in style as almost all styles of sunglasses suit them. However, people with oval face cut still face a dilemma while picking up the right pair of shades for them, after all they do not want to make their face look elongated. Therefore, people with oval face should avoid frames with arms that hang too low as it can make their face look elongated.

Following the same rule of opting glasses that are opposite to the shape of your face, people with round face should go for something that can make their cheeks appear slimmer. The ideal eyewear they pick should emphasize on sharp angular lines that will help elongate the face and make it look thinner and sharper. It is often recommended that they should opt for styles with a strong brow line that is slightly wider than the head. Sunglasses like wayfarers, clubmasters and angular designs like square frames are the ideal option from those who have round face as this will help to elongate the temples and lengthen the face. Another type of face cut is long or rectangular shape. Round or square frames work the best here as they impart the perfect balance to a long face. Wayfarers are another good option as they let you flaunt your chic style while maintaining the classic shape. People with rectangular face can also choose from D-frames and clubmasters, as both these styles complement such face type with equal flair as the wayfarers.

Coming to heart-shaped face, this is the most difficult face type to select an eyewear for. Since narrow chin is countered by a wider forehead, it becomes important to avoid adding extra weight to the top half of the face. Any sunglasses that are wider at the top than they are at the bottom work the best for people with heart-shaped face.

These are few basic staples that can help you pick up the best sunglasses according to your face type.
