Soon after assuming the chairmanship of Council for Leather Exports (CLE), P.R. Ageel Ahmed has swung into action to ensure that the industry’s concerns are highlighted. In the recently held Board of Trade Meeting, on February 15, 2019 in New Delhi, chaired by Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Union Minister for Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, he took-up the requests of the leather and footwear industry.
It may be mentioned that the industry body CLE has recently unanimously elected industrialists PR Aqeel and Sanjay Leekha as its Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively for a period of two years. Operating under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, CLE is the single largest and trade promotion organisation representing the leather industry.
