Simon Wilson Steps Down as Deichmann UK MD
Simon Wilson, Managing Director of Deichmann UK, has exited the footwear giant as of 31 July. Wilson, who began his Deichmann journey in 2012 as international sales director in Germany, later moved to the UK in 2014 to lead buying and marketing. In 2023, he took over as MD, overseeing a period of robust growth that included the launch of nearly 150 stores across the UK, most notably, the brand’s Northern Ireland debut in Belfast in May 2024. Before Deichmann, Wilson served as marketing director at German supermarket chain Lidl. Wilson is reportedly moving to a senior role at another major German retailer.
