Ramp Walk to Support Cancer Awareness

Global Fashion Federation organized Couture Runway Week season 3 to support cancer awareness among youth at hotel Crowne Plaza in Delhi’s Okhla where cancer patients graced the event with their ramp walk. The day was graced by Anita Singh, Wife of Sanjay Singh MP AAP, a celebrity designer Ajay Mehra and celebrity makeup artist Meenakshi Dutt was present as a chief guest.

The main attraction of the show was the ramp walk by “Special Kids”, design by International College of Fashion. The theme of their collection was comforted with the motto “Nothing is impossible and the sky is the limit to reach”.

The event was a culmination of the student’s design education journey of their learning along with renowned designers of the industry. The creation of the Fashion Design students was showcased. These included Western, Ethnic, Traditional, Party wear, Street Wear, Sports Wear, etc. designs that were inspired by their industry-grade learning methodology.

While addressing the gathering Ratan Lal, Chairman IIFT said, “These kinds of platform boost student’s confidence and help them to see the dreams they want to see. In competition victory or defeat are the two sides of the same coin. One should not dishearten from their defeat, every ending has a new beginning and need to learn something new every day. The fashion industry is growing rapidly in India and bringing new opportunities for budding designers.”

On this occasion designer Pallavi Singh started the first day with her breath-taking ensembles and Salil Kapoor showcased his kids wear collection through a walk on ramp with kids. Couture Runway Week concluded with a collection of famous designer Siddharth Bansal.
