PUMA India has joined forces with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to become the official footwear partner for the Indian contingent at the Paris Olympics 2024. To celebrate this collaboration, PUMA has launched the “See the Game Like We Do” campaign, showcasing the achievements of Indian athletes through impressive outdoor displays.
As part of this partnership, over 100 Indian athletes will receive specialized products aimed at enhancing their training and comfort. These products include podium and travel footwear, trolleys, backpacks, sippers, yoga mats, headbands, wristbands, socks, and towels. Among these athletes, 45 are part of the PUMA team, representing the largest group from a single brand in India this year.
“Through our partnership with the Indian Olympic Association, we aim to provide athletes with top-notch footwear and sports accessories to support their pursuit of excellence at the Paris Olympics. Additionally, we strive to recognize and celebrate the achievements of our nation’s athletes through this campaign. We hope our efforts will inspire others to excel and encourage aspiring athletes to take up Olympic sports in India,” said Karthik Balagopalan, Managing Director of PUMA India. This collaboration highlights PUMA’s dedication to promoting a vibrant sports culture in India.
PT Usha, President of the Indian Olympic Association and renowned former track-and-field athlete, emphasized that with PUMA’s high-quality shoes and accessories, athletes would be well-prepared to compete at the highest level. Usha also reaffirmed the IOA’s commitment to enhancing India’s medal prospects at the Paris Olympics, stating that such partnerships are crucial for achieving this goal.
PUMA’s “See the Game Like We Do” campaign features remarkable outdoor spectacles across Mumbai, celebrating the extraordinary skills of Indian athletes. The campaign includes double Olympic medalist PV Sindhu, whose smash speed of 349 km/h is three times the speed of Mumbai’s Central Line trains, with her achievement showcased across local train coaches. Asian Games medalist Kishore Jena’s javelin throw of 87.54 meters, comparable to the height of a skyscraper, is commemorated with a towering image in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Hockey goalkeeper PR Sreejesh’s lightning-fast reflexes, capable of stopping the fastest balls in 0.15 seconds, are highlighted on a digital billboard on the Eastern Express Highway.
By drawing parallels between these athletes’ record-breaking achievements and everyday experiences, PUMA aims to inspire the nation to recognize and support the relentless pursuit of excellence by Indian Olympians. “PUMA is proud to lead the way in empowering Indian athletes and celebrating their achievements. This campaign honors the dedication and hard work of our champion players as we unite in support of them on the world stage,” said Shreya Sachdev, Associate Director and Head of Marketing at PUMA India.
