Timberland and Betabrand have teamed up to create three crowdsourced product designs for Timberland’s newest collection called Craftletics. Betabrand is a crowdfunding company.

Timberland’s design collective specifically worked directly with consumers to develop first-to-market Timberland products through a co-creation process. Consumers were asked to vote on one of three unisex trend concepts, weighing in on design elements from materials, color and gender. The categories include Urbanization, Neorganic and Modern Nomad.

The collection is slated for mass distribution in 2017, but shoppers can pre-order the product on Betabrand’s site and through select Timberland distribution points. Those who pre-order will receive the shoes in November.

The styles created feature the Timberland DNA with sneaker-like comfort. The three silhouettes available include the Sport Hiker, which is detailed with genuine grain brown leather; the City Hiker, which comes in gray nubuck leather; and the Slip-On Hiker, made with grain black leather with mesh uppers. All styles are water- and stain-repellent and include lightweight Aerocore technology soles.
