Led by key export organisations, the contingent of Indian suppliers will be looking to attract sourcing managers from Australia’s large fashion retailers, niche fashion brands, online outlets and designers. More Indian textile, apparel, footwear and leather product suppliers than ever before are expected to showcase their range and capabilities at the International Sourcing Expo and co-located Footwear and Leather Show this November in Melbourne, Australia.
Led by key export organisations, the contingent of Indian suppliers will be looking to attract sourcing managers from Australia’s large fashion retailers, niche fashion brands, online outlets and designers. The two events, which are also co-located with China Clothing Textiles Accessories Expo, allow trade buyers to meet with more suppliers than they could physically visit on an overseas buying trip.
Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) will return with approximately 70 exhibitors following substantial involvement in recent years, and a reputation as being the foundation of most of the Indian participation.
Apparel Export Promotion Council, Wool and Woollen Export Promotion Council, and Handloom Export Promotion Council will add to the Indian participation with their dedicated pavilions to represent suppliers, and their industry more broadly, at the International Sourcing Expo, while the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) will lead their industry contingent at Footwear and Leather Show Australia with 30 suppliers joining their pavilion. For the third year running, CLE will occupy the largest pavilion at the Footwear and Leather Show.
Indian participation across both the International Sourcing Expo and Footwear and Leather Show continues to be by far the largest of all national representations. Total participation by India across the two events will be approximately 130 companies.
Organisers from IEC Group Pty Ltd say the participation of export councils is important to trade visitors looking for reputable organisations with a track record in quality and reliability and provides a contact point for broader reach beyond participation at the event itself.
“Indian participation has grown year-on-year and is always well-received. The large contingent returning to Australia for the 2018 events confirms the opportunity in the market,” Julie Holt, Exhibition Director, IEC Group Pvt Ltd said.
IEC Group Pty Ltd anticipates more than 4,000 trade visitors will visit the combined events which bring together 700 textile, apparel and footwear manufacturers and agents from 16 countries at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from November 20 to 22, 2018.
In addition to India, the trade-only event will showcase the product and service offerings of exhibitors drawn from China, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Fiji, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, Australia, South Korea, Malaysia and Singapore.
International Sourcing Expo Australia, co-located with the 3rd Footwear and Leather Show Australia and 18th China Clothing Accessories Textiles Expo, is Australia’s premier international sourcing show for apparel, textiles, fashion accessories, footwear and leather products. Into its ninth year, the three-day trade only event opens at Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre on 20 November 2018 and is restricted to bona fide trade professionals.
