Kolkata 30th Mar’26: In a significant development for India’s leather and footwear sector, Mr. Mukhtarul Amin has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE), reinforcing experienced leadership at a time of global recalibration in trade and manufacturing. A distinguished gathering of dignitaries and CLE members marked the occasion.

A former CLE Chairman, Mr. Amin’s return to a leadership role is widely viewed as a strategic move to strengthen India’s export competitiveness amid shifting supply chains. His institutional footprint spans key national bodies, including the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), the Leather Sector Skill Council and the National Skill Development Corporation. Beyond business, his contributions to education impacting over 30,000 students through the Superhouse Education Foundation underscore a leadership philosophy rooted in inclusive growth.
