The Thirteenth Edition of the Kanpur Buyer Seller Meet, christened as SHOETECH-KANPUR, recently unfolded at the CLE Multipurpose Hall in the KLC Complex, Banthar, Unnao. Hosted by the Indian Footwear Components Manufacturers Association (IFCOMA), this event, held on December 6th & 7th, 2023, saw robust backing from prominent entities like the Council for Leather Exports, Kanpur Leather Complex, Agra Footwear Manufacturers & Exporters Chamber, and others vested in the industry.
Over 75 exhibitors took center stage at SHOETECH-KANPUR, showcasing a diverse array of footwear components, accessories, and cutting-edge machinery. The event was a platform for a wide spectrum of products, spanning from specialized finished leather, innovative sole designs like TPR/TPU/PU, to materials such as PU, Semi-PU, PVC, machinery, adhesives, varnishes, and beyond. Noteworthy elements like insoles, technical textiles, EVA & PU foam, non-woven fabrics, synthetic leather, and shoe finishing chemicals were among the myriad offerings.
The inauguration was graced by industry stalwarts. Shri Sanjay Gupta, President of IFCOMA, extended a warm welcome, while the ceremonial ribbon cutting and lamp lighting were performed by Shri Mukhtarul Amin, Chairman of Superhouse, Kanpur, alongside esteemed dignitaries including Dr. Anil Ranga, General Manager of Ordnance Equipment Factory, Shri Javed Iqbal, Regional Chairman of Central Region, CLE, and others, in the presence of Smt. Pallavi Dubey, Regional Director, and key component manufacturers.
The event was a platform not just for display but also for recognition and celebration. Notable luminaries such as Sheikh Mohd Shahid and Shri GK Dhupar were honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards for their contributions to the industry. Moreover, entities like M/s LR Moulds Pvt Ltd received the prestigious IFCOMA Excellence Award.
The occasion witnessed the introduction of new recognitions, including the Women Entrepreneur Award, bestowed upon Ms. Sakshi Bajaj of M/s Silver Rose Impex Pvt Ltd, Noida, and the Young Entrepreneur Award, presented to Shri Abhishek Gupta of M/s Shreeji Polyfab Pvt Ltd., Noida.
The event’s success extended beyond the awards and displays. Exhibitors from Kanpur, Agra, Noida, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai, Bangalore, Ludhiana, and other cities voiced contentment with the interactions and outcomes, affirming the fair’s positive impact on the Footwear & Leather Industry.
With a remarkable turnout from industrial areas in Kanpur, Unnao, and neighboring regions, the event attracted over 2000 visitors during its engaging two-day stint, reinforcing its significance as a pivotal gathering for the industry’s key players and enthusiasts.
