Zara Partners with John Galliano to Reimagine Its Archives

Zara has announced a two-year creative partnership with John Galliano, marking his return to the atelier after leaving Maison Margiela in 2024.

Galliano will reinterpret Zara’s archives through a process the brand calls “re-authoring,” reworking past designs with new materials while also introducing fresh seasonal pieces. The first collection is expected to launch in September 2026, with more details to be revealed soon.

One of fashion’s most influential designers, Galliano led Christian Dior for 15 years before his 2011 exit. He later returned to the industry as creative director of Maison Margiela from 2014 to 2024, rebuilding his standing in fashion.

The collaboration comes as Inditex positions Zara more firmly in the premium space under Marta Ortega, continuing a run of high-profile partnerships with designers and cultural figures.
