India’s premium sneaker store Superkicks is bringing the heat with an exclusive collaboration drop by Austin-based sneaker platform, Nice Kicks and ASICS -“Nice Cream”. Launching nationwide only at Superkicks online and in-store on 7th August 2021, this collaboration is centered around the iconic GEL-LYTE III OG silhouette.
The “Nice Cream” sneakers are inspired by the Nice Kicks team’s favorite summer destination visit – an ice cream parlor. The design channels that feel good vibe of entering an ice cream parlor in search of the perfect ice cream scoop, this release pays tribute to that unique and flavorful experience. Nice Kicks is a sneaker news portal founded by Matt Hafhill in 2006, with a mission to provide shoe-enthusiasts accurate, and credible news, information, and history about sneakers. Nice Kicks are known for celebrating the sneaker culture by collaborating with brands and creating some of the most fun sneaker designs, which are desired across the globe.
Bringing together numerous elements, Nice Kicks and ASICS bring you a truly drool worthy pair of sneakers. The color palette on the kicks represents the classic ice cream flavors of vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate. The ice cream story further comes to life on the shoe with a white outsole, patent leather, tonal net, and a splatter mid piece. The sneaker comes with two sets of laces, one of which is emerald green, a nod to glassware often seen in vintage ice cream parlors. The cherry on top is a cherry hangtag to complete the design of the kicks.
Talking about the drop in India, Founder of Superkicks Sangeet Paryani said, “We are really excited to be dropping this collaboration. Superkicks is always looking at bringing the coolest and latest global drops to the Indian sneaker scene and with the launch of “Nice Cream” we have been able to do just that! The fact that it is dropping only in Superkicks in India is the cherry on this Nice Cream. Nice Kicks is one the coolest international platforms for sneaker culture out there and their collaboration with ASICS is a match made in heaven. We have a very deep understanding of the pulse of the sneaker market in India and are looking at bringing more curated collaborations to consumers in the country.”
