Sportswear giant Puma has tapped Ramprasad Sridharan as its new managing director for India, effective December. He will report to Puma’s chief commercial officer, Matthias Bäumer. Sridharan brings over 25 years of brand-building experience across the Asia-Pacific region, with a career spanning leadership roles at United Colors of Benetton India, Reebok India and Clarks. Known for steering digital growth and sharpening commercial strategy, he’s expected to fuel Puma’s next phase of expansion in one of its most critical markets. Bäumer praised Sridharan as a seasoned leader whose retail expertise will help translate Puma’s global priorities into regional gains. He also thanked outgoing MD Karthik Balagopalan for his two decades with the company as Balagopalan moves on to new pursuits.
