Metro Brands Ltd. (MBL), will unveil India’s first Foot Locker store this October. The store, located in an upscale Delhi mall, will follow Foot Locker’s ‘Store of the Future’ concept, featuring a bold storefront, unique in-store atmosphere, expanded selection of footwear and accessories, a focus on sustainability, dynamic digital features, and other technological innovations. This concept, introduced by the New York-based company in April, aims to enhance customer service through advanced technological tools available to Foot Locker’s sneaker ambassadors, the Stripers.
MBL, which holds exclusive rights to operate Foot Locker outlets in India, plans to open two to six stores in two to three cities within the current fiscal year. Foot Locker, Inc., a $8.759 billion entity and pioneer in global sneaker culture since 1989, operates across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific. The brand is known for its extensive collection of premium sneakers and athletic footwear from renowned brands like Nike, Adidas, New Balance, On, Hoka, Mitchell & Ness, Outerstuff, Jordan, Birkenstock, Puma, Asics, and UGG. In addition to physical stores, Foot Locker will sell products online in India through an exclusive partnership with Nykaa Fashion.
